NorCal Poodle Rescue Commitment

A wonderful development in the world of animal rescue is that shelters and rescue organizations are increasingly working together to save all healthy and treatable animals in their care.Maddie's Fund (www.maddiesfund.org) provides the inspiration, leadership, training, and funding for many projects within this movement.   NCPR abides by Maddie's Fund principles.

NorCal Poodle Rescue is an Adoption Guarantee Organization: We rehabilitate and rehome all healthy and treatable animals in our care and reserve euthanasia only for unhealthy and untreatable animals in extreme cases, such as those who bite or with unmanageable medical conditions.  NCPR honors the definitions of healthy and treatable as described by the Asilomar Accords. We enter our statistics on Shelter Animals Count - Shelter Animals Count is a collaborative initiative formed by a diverse group of stakeholders to create and share a national database of sheltered animal statistics, providing facts, and enabling insights that will save lives.
